Administrative Salary Range
The point of most jobs is to earn a living for yourself and your family. This means that you should check out the salary range of positions before spending time and effort getting a degree to get one.
A good place to check out the salary range of any job that you are interested in is the Bureau of Labor Statistics, operated by the US Department of Labor. The Bureau’s website: http://www.bls.gov contains a wide variety of reports on salary. The bureau regularly surveys salaries in many US occupations and posts its findings at its website.
Here are some of the latest salary findings for different administrative occupations in the United States as reported by the BLS. It should be noted that salaries range widely between industries and regions. In many cases positions located just a short distance from each other can vary widely in salary. Salaries also vary widely from industry to industry, between the private and public sectors and between organizations.
For example salaries for administrative and clerical positions in the federal government are often higher than those in the private sector or in state and local government.
